“I could die right now, I’m just … happy. I’ve never felt that before. I’m just exactly where I want to be.” - Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind
There are very few things I regret in my life. Few decisions I wish I could turn back time to change, but amongst those said decisions is not going to what probably would have been one of the best concert experiences ever; Ray LaMontagne at The Gaiety Theatre in Dublin on 4 Sep 2009. It coast 50 euros, but I was saving for a trip to Paris so money was relatively scarce..
still don’t know what love means
Anyways — Mr. LaMontagne is awesome. And I am inLOVE with this man. His music is unfathomably beautiful.. I can’t even begin to try and explain what his music means to me. I just love it.. Listening to it makes breathing easier somehow. Not that I have problems breathing, I just awakens something in me that makes me appreciate the air I breath in more. If that makes any sense..
Ray LaMontagne – Jolene (just… wow)
Ray LaMontagne Covers
Don’t let your mind get weary and confused
you will be still, don’t try
Don’t let your heart get heavy child
inside you there’s a strength that lies
Don’t let your soul get lonely child
it’s only time, it will go by
Don’t look for love in faces, places
it’s in you, that’s where you’ll find kindness
Be here now, here now
shall we call this a lesson learned?
So I have just fallen in love with a 18 year old australian photographer named Nirrimi Hakanson. I’ve always looked up to fantastic photographers like Annie Leibovitz, Patrick Demanchier, Horst P. Horst, and Paolo Roversi, but this girl is unbelievable…
It’s not just that her photos are well composed perfectly lit and that her locations/models are beautiful. Every picture she takes has a soul, an unconventional beauty like nothing I’ve ever seen. The words she write goes straight to my heart. The fact that this girl is 18 years old is beyond me..
i like scars, they remind you of things
..they said ‘i love you to the stars and back’ and i knew it was true.
don’t grow up too fast, it’s overrated anyway.
I take photos because it’s all I know and want.
i’m finding my feet and planting them in the soil much deeper now. but the gypsy blood still flows.
i am so thankful sometimes i smile outloud, and as hard and long as you might try you could not break my spirit.
I know I went overboard with pictures, but it was too danm hard to choose! Anyways, to get the the entire “feel” one would have to reed her blog We Live Young My favourite blog in the history of blogs ..
I’m a gypsy living out of a suitcase but atleast I never stop moving, never stop creating.
One of my favourite photographers is British Lara Jade. She takes almost exactly the type of photos I love to take. Whenever I get uninspired or loose interest in photography I take a look at her lovely photos.
Check out her website: http://www.larajade.co.uk/

ps: she is STUNNING

So autumn is almost over without me having the time to even blog about it! It’s my favourite time of year, next to spring, summer, and winter … ; ) But seriously though — It think that even though I love every time of year, autumn is the time of the year when I appreciate things the most. I love that the darkness is creeping up on us. I love that it’s getting colder, so I can drink spiced tea and wear warm comfy clothes. I love the tastes, the fashion, and the smell. The feeling I get when I realise that summer has turned into fall is probably one of the best feelings I know of.. It’s also my favourite time of year to go traveling, and next year I’m running away to The Big Apple!
I obviously can’t decide if I say Autumn or Fall.. Anyways, some autumn/fall inspiration:
And here are some nice songs to listen to:
and of course everything else by Kings of Convenience..
So I woke up this morning and the first thing that happened was that the joints in my back decided to lock in a protest against laying in one position for 4 hours of reading the night before.. So the good news is that I have time off from work to finally do the stuff I never have time for. The bad news is that it hurts like a mother, and I have to lay still and take medication that makes me fall asleep almost before I put them in my mouth.. Thank God for the invention of reading materials
Speaking of which — I’ve just finished reading The Angel’s Game by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. I really did love it, and it is by far one of the best books I have read, but I also felt an enormous load lifted off my shoulders when finished..
The story intervenes with the districts and some of the characters from the book The Shadow of the Wind (also written by Señor Zafon). The Angel’s Game, contrary to The Shadow of the Wind, is supernatural and quite hard to swallow.. It absorbs you to the point of depression and captivates you completely in the universe that is a dark and sombre Barcelona filled with secrets, traitors and pencil mustache lovers.. It is written to the point of perfection and I think there are few books that fit the term “page-turner” better..
“Just with ink and paper you can create stories and worlds and universes.” – Zafon
“Books are mirrors: you only see in them what you already have inside you.” – Zafon
“Poetry is written with tears, fiction with blood, and history with invisible ink.” – Zafon
So anyways — Now I can find time to enjoy myself and relax, and not worry that a certain gentleman with the initials A.C is waiting for me around every corner.. I feel good again, and I’m finally ready for Christmas to come! :)
Best apple muffins ever!
Dried apples for decoration :)
So todays female model is the outstandingly beautiful Russian knockout Natalia Vodianova.. I believe I’ve heard somewhere that a picture is worth a thousand words, so I’ll let these speak for themselves..
is Jon Kortajarena from Spain! I’ve been wondering for a looong time who this guy is after seeing him in several H&M- campains. I’ve always thought he was scandinavian, but I realise now how Spanish he looks.. Hola bonito!
I’ve read loads of blogs during the past years about fashion, photography, music, interior, films, and everyday life, but there is only one that has kept me interested form the second I discovered to this day — Ulrikke Lund’s blog. It touches deeply the superficial side of me, but one of the reasons why it is so interesting, other then the beautiful images and the inspirational fashion, is the fact that she is only 21 and owns her own online fashion store, she travels around world, she is very determined, and seems very wise for her age.. When you read her blog you feel as though you are reading a 50 year olds blog when it comes to morals and attitude towards most things. Can’t explain it, but she is very inspirational to me. I’d love to work with her one day.. It’s in Norwegian, but for non-norwegian speakers it’s fascinating enough to just watch the photos.
Here are some pictures:
She launched her new self-fronted colection today, and I have one word for it: STUNNING! If I was a rich girl …
